Siweschlëff: A Spectacular Rocky Labyrinth
Siweschlëff, meaning "seven crevices" in Luxembourgish, is an impressive natural
labyrinth located in Berdorf, in the heart of the Mullerthal region, nicknamed Luxembourg's Little Switzerland. This unique geological site consists of seven narrow faults, some barely 30 cm wide and up to 20 meters deep, formed by the erosion of Luxembourg sandstone resting on layers of clayey marl, much like the "Raiberhiel."
Walking through these dark and cool passages, visitors discover a humid microclimate conducive to the growth of mosses and ferns, emblematic of the region. The contrast
between the steep rock faces and the lush vegetation creates a captivating tmosphere, ideal for nature and photography enthusiasts.
Expect a humid and cool microclimate with unique vegetation!
